Owned and operated by the federally recognized Susanville Indian Rancheria, Diamond Mountain Casino & Hotel represents a long-standing commitment to economic growth, community development, and hospitality in Susanville, California.
The Susanville Indian Rancheria was established in 1928 to provide land and opportunity for Native families representing the Maidu, Paiute, Pit River, and Washoe tribes. Since forming its governing body in 1969, the Rancheria has continued investing in the local community through the development of healthcare, education, recreation, and workforce training facilities.
In 1995, the Rancheria expanded its vision with plans to develop a casino that would create long-term opportunities for future generations while contributing to the surrounding region’s economy. Diamond Mountain Casino officially opened on February 17, 1996, becoming one of the area’s premier entertainment destinations.
As tribal gaming expanded throughout California in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Diamond Mountain Casino continued to grow alongside it. Renovations and expansions added new gaming, dining, and hospitality experiences while supporting increased tourism, employment, and local economic development.
Today, Diamond Mountain Casino & Hotel features over 26,000 square feet of gaming and entertainment, including popular slot machines, dining options, a full-service bar, banquet space, gift shop, and hotel accommodations designed for comfort and convenience.
